The Azerbaijani media, citing the joint statement by the General Prosecutor's Office and the State Border Service and the National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) of Azerbaijan, report about the explosion of a landmine in one of the territories recently transferred by Armenia.
"On August 2, the landmines planted by the Armenian side exploded in the village of Gizilhajili, Gazakh district," the Azerbaijani media reported.
As a result of the explosion, an ANAMA employee was wounded in the legs, and two more of its employees sustained shrapnel wounds. They were hospitalized, and their injuries are not life-threatening.
It is about the former part of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border where landmines were used on both sides. Now, however, Azerbaijan presents it as "landmines planted by Armenia" and uses this incident for provocations and accusations.
