YEREVAN.- Armavia operated its first extra Yerevan-Aleppo-Yerevan flight at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.

The air company said the flight was carried out although brought no financial benefit.

“Plane flying from Yerevan to Aleppo was empty due to lack of demand. Aleppo-Yerevan flight will land in Zvartnots airport at 6:25 p.m. on August 2,” the company said in a statement.

The national carrier said 47 passengers will be on board.

The first addition flight scheduled for Wednesday was canceled due to lack of passengers. The national air carrier said it is ready to operate an additional flight if there are passengers.
