Armenia’s Aygedzor village resident Edik, 26, was wounded as a result of stepping on a land mine near the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. But the adversary fired shots for hours, not allowing for anyone to enter the field and take him out. As a result, the young man bled to death.

Chinari village prefect Samvel Saghoyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the young man was a pig farmer, his pigs had entered the field across Aygedzor village, and he was trying to take them out. But he stepped on a land mine and was wounded.

“The adversary kept [the field] under fire for hours, it did not allow so that [people] could enter [the field,] take him out, and help [him]. They entered after several hours to take [him] out. [But] he had bled profusely; he died before reaching the hospital,” Saghoyan said.
