President Metin Hülagü of the Turkish Historical Society in Ankara stated that they underscore the teaching of Armenian in Turkey not solely ahead of, but also following 2015.  

The university students and the writers of scholarly works in Turkey continue to show an interested in the Armenian language, Hülagü told Anadolu news agency of Turkey.     

He noted that they begun the teaching of Armenian not only in the lead-up to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.  

“We attach importance to the teaching of Armenian also in the long-term projects,” Metin Hülagü added.
