YEREVAN. – Following liturgy in Berlin, President of Germany clearly said a genocide was perpetrated against Armenians, German Ambassador Reiner Morell said during NATO-Armenia conference in Yerevan.

On April 24 the debates were held in Bundestag and speaker of the parliament was clear in his statement that it was a genocide, Morell added.

Three parties of Bundestag presented different wordings in the resolution on the Armenian Genocide, therefore the discussion is postponed with an aim to reach a consolidated decision.

“But, I am confident that this will happen,” the diplomat resumed.
