Events commemorating Armenian Genocide were held on Sunday by two initiative groups in Turkey.

The “Say Stop to Racism and Nationalism!” initiative gathered in Istanbul, Diyarbakir, Bodrum and Izmir. The slogan of the actions was “This pain belongs to all of us”.

Istanbul branch of the Union of human rights protection held an action under slogan “Genocide is a crime against humanity” commemorating Armenian intellectuals sentenced to death.

A group of Turkish fascists tried to hamper the event organized in Taksim Square of Istanbul chanting anti-Armenian slogans and shouting the name of Hrant Dink’s murderer – Ogun Samast.
