Turkey’s reaction to the genocide bill shows that Erdogan wants to present the negative attitude of the Turkish society against France, as he did against Israel, co-author of the Armenian Genocide Bill, adviser of Valerie Boyer Garo Yalich told Armenian Weekly paper.

“I think that if Turkey wants to join the EU it must adopt a likewise bill. The main aim of the bill is to prevent incitement to hatred,” he announced.

According to Yalich, instead of making loud statements Turkey should take care of its citizens.

“More than 100 thousand Turks work for French companies. They forget about that,” he stated.

“If we don’t use a shock therapy, Turkey will never find the courage to face its history. We must build the future. There are almost 100 years of denial. Enough is enough; neither Armenians nor Turks deserve it.”
