According to Jewish Haaretz daily, Israeli and Turkish officials try to make a meeting of President Shimon Peres and his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul. The source says their meeting might take place in Copenhagen in the frames of the 2009 UN Climate Change Conference.

Daily recalls that Gul’s official visit to Israel was planned however cancelled due to deterioration in relations.

As NEWS.am reported earlier, Israeli-Turkish relations got strained in the end of December 2008 when Israeli forces bombed Palestinian territories. Erdogan-Peres dialogue in Davos became the peak, when Turkish PM accused Israel of extermination of peaceful population and walked out the G-20 Summit.
