YEREVAN. – Armenian National Assembly (NA) Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan on Monday received Vice President Wolfgang Thierse of the German Bundestag (Parliament). 

Abrahamyan gave a high assessment to the current level of Armenian-German relations, and noted that the political discourse with Germany is underscored. Also, the NA Speaker stressed the importance of developing interparliamentary ties, mutual visits and contacts, and the need to enhance the activities by the parliamentary groups, NA press service informs.       

In his turn, the Bundestag Vice President likewise underscored the need to develop interparliamentary partnership, and stressed that the German parliament looks toward strengthening interaction with Armenia’s National Assembly. He highlighted the invigoration of direct contacts. 

Also, the interlocutors reflected on Armenia’s domestic political situation and discussed other matters of bilateral interest.
