YEREVAN.- An anthrax case in cattle was recorded in Armenia’s Tavush Region. The examination confirmed that anthrax killed a cow, Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports.

The animal died on October 30 but the study results were received only on Tuesday. Head of the regional inspection on food security Vasil Galstyan said the body was burnt.

“The animal was not vaccinated against anthrax,” he said. The second case was registered on November 3 but results are not available yet.

After information on anthrax cases was received, the inspection held revaccination of the cattle, Galstyan added.
