Azerbaijan’s National Rebirth Movement Party Chairman Ferec Quliyev’s proposal, and with respect to Turkey’s ongoing fight against the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party), has shocked even the Turkish media.  

Quliyev proposed to Turkey the Azerbaijani soldiers’ cooperation in this fight. “Why do we not create a joint force and jointly fight against the PKK? Turkey certainly has enough strength to fight the PKK, but the joint fight will strengthen our cooperation,” Ferec Quliyev told Turkey’s Anadolu News Agency.     

He added that if the Karabakh war resumes one day, the Turkish soldiers likewise could take part in it.
