YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan on Friday visited the Caucasus Wildlife Refuge.

The objective of the event was to hold a symbolic tree-planting jointly with the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) and the VivaCell-MTS Company, Nature Protection Ministry press service informs.     

Along the lines of this event, FPWC and Aram Harutyunyan signed a memorandum of understanding with respect to future cooperation between the Foundation and the Ministry.   

Armenia’s Nature Protection Minister welcomed the FPWC efforts to establish the Caucasus Wildlife Refuge and stated that a protected buffer zone will be created for this sector of the “Khosrov Forest” State-Run Reserve.
