YEREVAN. – In line with official data, and according to the income declaration for the May 6 National Assembly (NA) elections, NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan of Armenia—which has about a forty percent poverty level—has AMD 290 million (approx. $709,228) and $2,050,000, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports.      

“This information is from parliamentmonitoring.am. Abrahamyan’s income for the year constituted AMD 43,484,900 [approx. $106,347], AMD 40 million [approx. $97,824] of which is income from the sale of agricultural products. 

It is not clear, however, as to in whose agricultural lands Hovik Abrahamyan grew and sold fruits, if solely three apartments in [capital city] Yerevan and a garage are declared [under his name] in the declaration’s ‘Immovables’ section,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
