YEREVAN. – The “Challenges of the 21st Century and Armenia’s Key Security Issues” pan-Armenian convention of political scientists and international studies specialists kicked off Monday.

National Security Council Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan addressed the discussants and presented the politico-military components of Armenia’s external security.    

“The first matter that is of primary importance for Armenia’s national security is the ensuring of military security. The state must be ready to resist any encroachment, or military aggression. Second is the ensuring of the country’s economic security. We must be able to ensure energy, food, transportation, [and] information security. Third is the societal and demographic security, which has a fundamental importance,” Arthur Baghdasaryan noted.
