YEREVAN. – It became apparent that the Government of Armenia will convene a special National Assembly (NA) session on December 17, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports.

“It is not yet formally known as to which matters will be discussed. According to our NA sources, the 2013 draft budget is envisioned to be put to a vote coming Wednesday [December 5].

According to some rumors, the given special session will examine several unfinished matters, including the Government’s tax package. It is possible that the Government decided to pass this package by way of [a] special [session], taking into account that the next NA four-day [session] is from December 24 to 27, and it will be difficult to obtain quorum before the New Year,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
