YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Tatev (“Wings of Tatev”) cableway is shifting to winter scheduled.

It will be open for passengers on Saturday and Sunday and on holidays during the period from December 1, 2012 to March 1, 2013.

Cableway director Vahan Meliksetyan said the equippment was switched to winter system.

The “TaTever” cable-car system is 5.7-km long, and its highest point is 330 meters above ground. “TaTever” is officially registered in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s longest passenger cableway.
