YEREVAN. – The US national currency’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 408.12/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Tuesday; this is a 0.15-percent—or an AMD 0.24—rise from the previous trading session on Monday.

Tuesday’s sales totaled $6.55 million at the stock exchange. It is possible that the Central Bank of Armenia has conducted a foreign currency intervention to prevent a future increase in the exchange rate of the dollar.

In Armenia’s cash foreign currency market, the American currency’s buying and selling exchange rates are primarily at the AMD 407-409/$1 range respectively.
