YEREVAN. – Following Wednesday’s sharp fall, the US national currency’s exchange rate began to moderately increase at Armenia’s financial market.

As a result, the dollar’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian dram (AMD), comprised AMD 407.69/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Friday; this is a 0.11-percent—or an AMD 0.44—rise from the previous trading session on Thursday.

Friday’s sales totaled $3.38 million at the stock exchange.

The average exchange rate of the American currency increased by nearly half a dram in Armenia’s cash foreign currency market. Some exchange offices buy the dollar at AMD 406.5/$1, and it is primarily sold at AMD 409/$1.
