YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian convened, on Sunday in Paris, a consultation meeting with the country’s ambassadors and permanent representatives that are accredited in European countries and international organizations.  

But first, the attendees observed a minute of silence in memory of Karine Ghazinyan, Armenia’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, who passed away unexpectedly on December 6, MFA press service informs.   

Next, the discussants reflected on the implementation of the instructions, which Armenia’s President had given in August 2011 during the meeting between the MFA central organization and the heads of the country’s diplomatic representations.    

Nalbandian briefed the diplomats on the latest developments within Armenia’s foreign policy, and gave them instructions in connection with deepening cooperation with international organizations and further developing ties with European countries, and concerning the activities to be carried out towards 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.          

In their turn, the heads of Armenia’s diplomatic missions spoke about the ongoing processes in the countries and international organizations where they are accredited.

Also, Armenia’s senior diplomats discussed several regional and international matters.
