A dinner and fundraising organized in Abu-Dhabi “Yas Island Crowne Plaza” hotel on December 6 by the Abu-Dhabi and Northern Emirates National departments and the Embassy of Armenia to the UAE took place. The fundraising was aimed at assisting the Syrian Armenians.

The MFA press service informs that the chairman of Abu-Dhabi National Department Vardges Arzumanyan delivered a speech.

The Ambassador of Armenia to the UAE Gegham Gharibjanyan also delivered a speech mentioning Armenia’s official stand on Syrian Armenians’ issues and Armenian leadership’s efforts to assist Syrian Armenians. The Ambassador mentioned Armenia is very much concerned about the current situation in Syria and wants to see country’s recovery and restoration of peace there.

All the money raised during the evening was transferred to the Syrian Armenians’ assistance fund.
