YEREVAN. – The Gallup Organization has been conducting surveys for over 70 years, the organization’s representative Rasa Alishauskene told Armenian News-NEWS.am commenting on the report that part of the Armenians do not trust the survey results.

As for the rating on the candidates for the upcoming presidential elections, currently Armenia’s incumbent president is strongly leading. However, the situation may change due to the nomination of other candidates, she added.

In response to the question whether parliamentary opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s chances will be reduced if another ANC member and former PM Hrant Bagratyan offers his candidacy, Alishauskene said that the situation will not be clarified unless all nominations are visible.

To note, the Gallup Organization conducted a survey recently, where Serzh Sargsyan received 49 percent of respondents, 21 percent went to Gagik Tsarukyan, 6 to Levon Ter-Petrosyan, 5 to Robert Kocharyan and Raffi Hovannisian respectively. The survey was conducted before any nomination was formally available.
