BRUSSELS. - Brussels will hold the third European Armenian Convention scheduled for March 4 to 5, 2013.

Outstanding activists, academics, and politicians from Armenia, Europe, U.S. as well as representatives from the Armenian National Committees across Europe and other Armenian organizations will participate in the convention, organized by Armenian National Committee (ANC) of Europe.

The first session will focus on the pan-European challenges which the Armenians living in Europe face, including challenges as identity, culture and language, as well as political issues such as facing the joint Turkish-Azerbaijani lobby in Europe, the Armenian Genocide centenary events and the criminalization of Genocides’ denial, and working towards the recognition of the Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh], Asbarez informs.

The next session to be held in the European Parliament will discuss issues such as the European Union’s responsibility to prevent and protect, look into “Genocide and the International Law,” as well as “New Perspectives for the South Caucasus.”
