Armenia not to have female presidential candidate? – newspaper

YEREVAN. – “As our sources close to the [opposition] Free Democrats [Party] inform, they are reviewing the expedience of nominating [Free Democrats’ vice chairwoman] Anush Sedrakyan as presidential candidate [for Armenia’s elections to be held on February 18, 2013],” Hraparak daily writes, and adds:      

“Anush Sedrakyan herself presented her arguments to the fellow party members finding that her running [for president] is not too proper simply in terms of practical manifestations. The fellow party members listened to her attentively and, now, they are contemplating in this direction. They will publicize their decision on [Sunday, December] 23-[Monday, December] 24.”
