YEREVAN. – Several citizens called Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), on Tuesday at 6:20pm, informing that the Upper Lars motorway at the Armenian-Georgian border was closed, due to adverse weather conditions, and the Armenian citizens that were stranded on the Russian side of the border need food and warm clothing. 

Communication was established with Armenia’s Embassy in Georgia, at 6:22pm, which informed that, as per the Georgian Road Department, road cleaning will start Wednesday at around noon, MES press service informs.  

Also, communication was established with the Russian Federation National Crisis Management Center and the Emergency Situations Department of North Ossetia, at 6:43pm, which informed that a camp was set up for the stranded travelers, that the camp has temporary hot food and resting points, and the people are provided with all the necessary living conditions.
