STEPANAKERT. – In the context of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) independence increasing and strengthening day by day, the current month is distinguished by the visit of the Artsakh newly appointed FM Karen Mirzoyan to Washington with all its attributes proper to a working visit.

In particular, an event devoted to the 21th anniversary of the Artsakh recognition was held within the frameworks of visiting the U.S. Senate and participation of a dozen of senators. The congressmen stated unanimously in their speeches the commitment on further cooperation in freedom and independence of Artsakh, which should be expressed not only in annual financial support but also with a political support.

The Artsakh FM delivered a speech, touching in particular upon the problem of the current phrase of the Artsakh peace negotiation process, multilateral attempts by Azerbaijan to split the process and intensify the situation in the region.

The Minister also presented the congressmen and guests of the event with the Artsakh achievements in the area of freedom, democracy and economic development.
