YEREVAN. – Armenia’s opposition Free Democrats Party Board states that it considers it inexpedient to run in the forthcoming presidential elections with its own candidate.
Under the current political situation in the country, one has to be too optimistic to believe that these elections could result in a change in power, the party press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“In this case, the Free Democrats’ participation [in the presidential elections] is not a preferred option. We find that elections are not the sole avenue for conveying our ideas to the body politic. We find that the consistent, long-term and targeted actions of a political force are more important. We will continue our activities, [and] stay true to these principles,” the party press service informed, in particular.
