YEREVAN. – Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) member Ruben Ayvazyan, who earlier had announced that he will run for office in February’s presidential elections, informed Zhamanak daily that the information, according to which the PAP had either asked or forced him to withdraw his candidacy, is inaccurate.

‘“They just recommended me to consider the fact that the current falsified information creates an impression among the society that I am as if violating the PAP charter and the decision of the [party’s] political board. After all, since the meeting was held upon my request, my fellow party members left the final decision upon myself. And I can’t permit the media to use the matter of my nomination against my fellow party members,’ Ruben Ayvazyan said,” Zhamanak writes.
