YEREVAN. – The rumors, with respect to Armenian National Assembly Speaker—and ruling Republican Party (RPA) Vice Chairman—Hovik Abrahamyan wanting to become PM, are gathering momentum again among his circles, Hraparak daily reports.   

“According to our RPA sources, in the case when Hovik Abrahamyan formerly wished to form the matter of [Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Chairman] Gagik Tsarukyan’s candidacy as basis for this, now, the [respective] basis is Gagik Tsarukyan’s and PAP’s ‘underground’ support to [President] Serzh Sargsyan. And Hovik Abrahamyan’s every second word is, ‘country’s President, Serzh Sargsyan.’        

In addition, following his trip to Brussels, Abrahamyan wished to show that he is a complementary politician, but, according to our sources, he was advised not hold a [press] conference,” Hraparak writes.
