YEREVAN.- Georgia stands for peaceful resolution of the Karabahk conflict, Georgian PM Bidzina Ivanishvili said in Yerevan.
“Both sides must exert efforts into finding peaceful solution to the Karabakh conflict. I met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and convened Armenian Premier his opinion on the issue,” he said during a press conference on Thursday.
Commenting on Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze’s remarks, Ivanishvili said the issue is settled, explanations concerning untrue reports had been provided.
In his turn, Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan thanked his counterpart for a balanced position on Karabakh.
“I want to thank the Georgian side for a prompt response to media reports distorting remarks on Karabakh voiced by the high ranking officials,” he said.
