YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan received Ophelia Arakelyan, the founder and principal of the multicultural school in Moscow, Russia, and Karine Tumaghayan, the distinguished teacher at the Armenian school in Kyiv, Ukraine.     

Hakobyan noted that the Diaspora Ministry awards medals to those individuals who greatly contribute to the Armenian communities of the countries where they reside. She added that the teachers who work at Diaspora Armenian schools play an invaluable role, Diaspora Ministry pres service informs.     

Next, Hranush Hakobyan awarded Arakelyan and Tumaghayan with the ministry’s William Saroyan medal, for their great contribution to the dissemination of Armenian culture in the diaspora and the development of Armenia-Diaspora partnership. 

In their turn, the two educators noted that receiving this award is a great responsibility for them and, also, a huge commitment to work better.
