STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Tuesday attended a special event devoted to Police Day.
Sahakyan congratulated the serving police officers and the veterans of this agency, and handed state awards and conferred titles to a group of people, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informed.
In his address, the President stressed the importance of the Police in the state building process of Artsakh, noting that lawfulness, public order and rule, security and stability, the interests of the citizens and human rights are upheld in the country likewise with an active participation by the police system.
Bako Sahakyan stressed that the challenges facing the Police will remain at the focus of the state, and the authorities will do their utmost to improve the working and social conditions of the police.
