STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Thursday attended the official opening of the fully-renovated building of capital city Stepanakert’s Secondary School No. 3, with a Russian-language base.
President Sahakyan underscored having such education center that meets international standards, considering this to be among the most significant preconditions for cultural dialogue and dissemination, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informs.
The President thanked Russian-Armenian philanthropists Sergey and Nikolai Sarkisov and Ruben Vardanyan for their support shown to the education domain of Artsakh and for implementing such initiatives.
On the same day, Sahakyan, together with the philanthropists, visited the Stepanakert Center for Child and Adolescent Creativity, got familiar with its working conditions, and watched the festive presentation by its pupils.
Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, NKR National Assembly Speaker Ashot Ghulyan, PM Ara Harutyunyan, Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian, and several other officials and guests from Armenia and abroad likewise were on hand at these events
