YEREVAN. – The political forces, which ran in Sunday’s Armenian Capital city Yerevan Council of Elders election, may submit petitions—on Monday, between 12pm and 6pm—for a recount of the ballots at the election precincts, or declaring the election results null and void.
Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Press Secretary Hermine Harutyunyan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
She noted that these petitions may be submitted to the respective election district commissions, and CEC did not receive any other petitions.
In conclusion, Harutyunyan informed that CEC on Sunday received one written petition from opposition Heritage Party MP Zaruhi Postanjyan, concerning election irregularities. In addition, the Central Electoral Commission Situation Analysis Center looked into over ninety reports that were received.
