YEREVAN. - The minister of Science  and Education of Armenia Armen Ashotyan received the representatives of the World Bank’s education team Francisco Marmolejo and Sachiko Kataoka.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, Ashotyan stressed that the World Bank is Armenia’s important partner in the implementation of educational reforms and expressed hope that the World Bank will support the ongoing reforms.

During the meeting the parties discussed the World Bank’s “Education Quality and Relevance” program and a report on the solution of management issues in Armenia’s higher education system, presented at the international conference in Yerevan. The representatives of the World Bank positively assessed the reform of Armenia’s educational system and its results. According to them, the shift is particularly evident in the dynamic reforms of higher education of the Republic of Armenia in 2012.

The parties have also discussed number of issues related to the joint projects.
