YEREVAN. – Between January and March 2013, individuals’ remittances from abroad to Armenia comprised $305.5 million, the Armenian Central Bank bulletin informs. 

In March alone, the transfer of funds to Armenia made up $118.8 million, against $103.4 million in February and $83 million in January.  

As a result, the remittances increased by $28.2 million, or by 10.1 percent, as compared to January-March 2012.   

In the first quarter of this year, Armenia received $246.8 million from Russia and transferred $38.3 million, and it received $17.3 million from the US and remitted $8.5 million.  

It is noteworthy that remittances to Armenia from the US reduced but the transfer of funds to the US from Armenia grew, as compared with the year past.
