Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko stated the abovementioned while addressing Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan during Monday’s briefing in Armenian capital city Yerevan.

Reflecting on Sargsyan’s statement that thousands of Armenians had fallen in Belarus during the war that was waged against fascism in the years of World War II, Lukashenko specifically said as follows: 

“You know how much we care about these people. At least those thousands of Armenians, who live in Belarus today, have not presented us any complaints in this regard. I thank you very much for recalling this in the days of the celebrations of the victory in the Great Patriotic War,” Lukashenko stressed.

Reflecting on the Armenia’s presidential election that was held in February, the Belarusian leader noted the following, in particular: 

“Your team worthily passed that phase and you received the unconditional trust of the Armenian people. I wish you success in implementing the envisioned. We are ready to be at your side, in the next five years, during the implementation of your plans.”
