YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan reiterated Armenia’s position on settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
During the Monday joint briefing with Belarus leader Alexander Lukashnko, Sargsyan said he had informed his counterpart about the Karabakh peace process.
He once again said the people of Nagorno-Karabakh want peace and an opportunity to develop freely in their historic motherland.
“They want to have equal opportunities with other nations which managed to achieve international recognition of their sovereignty. I have assured that our position remains unchanged – we are ready to peaceful settlement of the conflict,” he said.
