YEREVAN. – The opposition “Barev, Yerevan” bloc on Monday field a petition to appeal the decision of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).

Earlier CEC rejected the petition to declare the recent Yerevan Council election invalid.

According to the final results of the municipal elections, “Barev, Yerevan” bloc got six out of 65 seats in the Yerevan Council.

In a statement, the opposition bloc said they had evidence of election fraud at certain precincts. They have presented a table of irregularities registered during the elections and are ready to provide police with the evidence on election fraud.
