YEREVAN. – Premier Tigran Sargsyan received Swiss Ambassador Konstantin Obolensky, who is ending his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

Sargsyan highly appreciated the ambassador’s activities toward the development of Armenian-Swiss relations, the Government press service informs.

“A good foundation is established to deepen bilateral relations. We attach great importance to the strengthening of bilateral interaction,” the PM said.  

The interlocutors underscored the rural community and the livestock development programs that are implemented in Armenia’s Syunik Region. In this context, the ambassador informed that the Swiss government allocated $8 million this year, as compared to the $4 million last year, to carry out this program. 

Obolensky also gave emphasis to the enhancement of economic relations, and expressed a hope that the newly established Armenian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce will give new impetus to an increase in trade turnover between the two countries.    

Tigran Sargsyan thanked the Swiss diplomat for carrying out programs in Armenia and wished him new success.
