YEREVAN. – A call was received, on Friday at 9:38pm, informing that a car accident had occurred on Armenia’s Yerevan-Artashat Highway, there were injured parties, and rescuers were needed.
A fire and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene, the Ministry of Emergency Situations Rescue Service informs.
It was found out that a Hyundai had gone off road—for about twenty meters—for yet unknown reasons, at the Yerevan-Yeraskh motorway, and turned over.
As a result, the driver, Karen G., 42, died on the spot, whereas the passenger, Artur V., 33, sustained injuries and was transferred to the Masis city medical center.
Doctors say the injured is in satisfactory condition.
The fire and rescue squad stopped the fuel leakage in the car and cooled the vehicle.
