YEREVAN. – American currency transactions were not conducted at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on Saturday; this is the fourth day this week that the country’s stock exchange saw no trading.

On Saturday, the dollar was offered at AMD 417.65/$1 at NASDAQ OMX Armenia, but its demand exchange rate was AMD 417.25/$1. Accordingly, even though currency transactions were not conducted at the stock exchange, the US dollar tends to rise in the country. 

At the cash foreign currency market of Armenia, the dollar gained value by AMD 0.50 on Saturday. The American national currency’s buying exchange rate rose all the way to AMD 416.5/$1 and its selling exchange rate, to AMD 418.5-419/$1.
