YEREVAN. – The Armenian capital city Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU) has been recognized by the Medical Board of California in the United States.  

Armenia’s Minister of Education and Science, Armen Ashotyan, wrote the aforesaid in his Facebook account.

“From now on, those YSMU graduates who have studied in Armenian during their studies will be eligible to apply for a postgraduate training certificate from the US State of California.

Our university is also registered in the Medical Board of California official website, in the list of officially-recognized medical institutions, at this address: http://www.mbc.ca.gov/applicant/schools_recognized.html.

At present, the university’s Department of International Relations is carrying out corresponding work toward recognizing the university programs which the Medical Board of California teaches in English and in Russian.

To note, heretofore YSMU was also recognized by the medical boards of several countries,” Armen Ashotyan specifically wrote.
