YEREVAN. – Ever since October 2012, MP Hrant Bagratyan introduced 7-8 bills to the Armenian National Assembly (NA), but they are not included in the NA sessions’ agenda to this day.

Opposition Freedom Party Chairman, Armenian National Congress NA Faction member, ex-presidential contender, former PM Hrant Bagratyan himself stated the aforesaid during Monday’s NA session.

In response, NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan said if there are bills that are important and which require discussions, Bagratyan should notify this and, as a result, they will be included in the NA sessions’ agenda.

Bagratyan, however, stated that all these bills are important and the NA chairman may be informed about this from the NA Department of Records.

“I will include [them] when I find it appropriate,” Abrahamyan responded.

In response, Hrant Bagratyan argued that the Armenian parliament has turned into a ministry, there is an arbitrary treatment of his bills, and that the National Assembly bylaws need to be changed.
