YEREVAN. – A protest action of the Armenian farmers in Yerevan-Armavir highway is over, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports from the site (photo).

The farmers opened the road after holding talks with Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan who promised to give positive response to their demands after the Thursday government’s session.

“We do not hope to get a real compensation and will wait till Thursday. Unless necessary measures are taken, we will block the road,” farmers said.

The farmers have blocked the road since Monday morning. They demand compensation to cover the damage caused by a hail storm.
