YEREVAN. – The Armenian parliamentary discussions on the government’s program are the same as in France, or in Germany.
Armenian Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan stated the abovementioned during Tuesday’s National Assembly session.
“There is no difference; it is the same criticisms. It is gratifying that we have entered a certain phase of classical parliamentarianism, classical political struggle. But the newly independent Armenia had its greatest accomplishments in the period when this classical struggle did not exist, when there were no classical [political] parties, when every one was together, [and] when the matter was related to the Artsakh [i.e., Nagorno-Karabakh] War,” Tovmasyan noted.
He also stated that corruption is Armenia’s number one enemy and it is everyone’s task to surmount it. The Minister of Justice added that success is achieved, in some domains, in the fight against corruption.
