YEREVAN. – The Armenian capital city Yerevan Municipality denied the news about an increase in the city’s public transport fare as of June 1.  

Yerevan Municipality Information and Public Relations Department Chief Artur Gevorgyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that this information is false.      

“Such matter was not and is not discussed in Yerevan Municipality. I urge everyone to refrain from disseminating misinformation and causing unnecessary panic,” Gevorgyan stated.    

To note, such information is circulating on the social networks since Tuesday morning, and it is specifically due to the information on raising the price of the Russian natural gas being supplied to Armenia.
