YEREVAN. – The Armenian Central Bank sent a written response informing that discussions are underway, with the country’s commercial banks, to review the bank loan obligations of the farmers that suffered from the recent hailstorm.
MP Edmon Marukyan stated the aforesaid at the National Assembly on Tuesday, and informed that there will be a specific approach for each case.
To note, as a result of the hailstorm that hit the area on May 12, a total of 43 communities—with close to 15,000 hectares—in Armenia’s Armavir Region suffered losses to their crops.
