The citizens of Russia’s near abroad will need foreign passports to enter Russia starting from January 1, 2015, director of RF Federal Migration Service Konstantin Romodanovsky said.
During the press conference he said there are prerequisites to the decision and also expressed hope that “our partners will understand the move.”
Romodanovsky said foreigners will be met by migration posts at the Russian railway station, Rosbalt reported.
