Settlement of the protracted conflicts in the OSCE area, including Karabakh conflict, will be one of the issues to be discussed during the 22nd Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly to be held in Istanbul from 29 June to 3 July.
The issue will be discussed within general committee on political affairs and security.
Rapporteur Vilija Aleknaite Abramikiene will present a draft resolution, including the issue on protracted conflicts.
The resolution calls for intensified efforts towards generating a peaceful and viable solution to the un-resolved conflicts, and urges the OSCE Chairmanship to redouble efforts to find solutions to the tragic protracted conflicts in the Caucasus and Moldova.
The document calls on the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to continue their engagement with Armenia and Azerbaijan to seek solutions to the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
