MOSCOW. – The OSCE favors resuming the dialogue on arms control and proposes that it be attached to the new treaty on the conventional armed forces in Europe.
OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier noted the above-said during the international conference on security, which convened in Moscow on Thursday.
In his words, the new treaty may be a mixture of political and legal arrangements.
As per Zannier, the control towards the conventional armed forces should not be linked to the settlement of armed conflicts, RIA Novosti News Agency of Russia reports.
To note, over 300 people are attending the Moscow conference on European Security. The defense ministers of NATO, EU, CIS, and CSTO member countries, including Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, are invited to this event.
